Update: 1/23/2026 3:20 PM ET
SITUATION OVERVIEWSnowfall of 8 to 12 inches is expected across the state beginning Saturday evening into Sunday night. The snow should be mostly dry, with southern and southeastern Ohio possibly seeing a mix of snow and sleet. Vehicle accidents are a top cause of power outages, so AEP Ohio encourages customers to avoid travel if possible and drive safely if they have to be out this weekend. Our crews are mobilizing across the state and ready to respond should outages occur. Continuing throughout next week, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-20s or teens with overnight lows below zero in some areas. Customers should follow their local forecast for the latest weather updates.
