Our Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) rate offers a reduced electric rate to customers with a plug-in electric vehicle (EV) on the distribution component of the bill. This rate is designed to reward you for helping to better balance demand on the electric grid. To enroll in this rate, you must have a plug-in electric or hybrid vehicle that is charged at your home. The PEV rate can be applied to your whole home, or a separate meter installed for EV charging load. Details of the different tariff options are described below:
* Under the Separately Metered EV Service Tariff, the electric bill for your home service will include any customer fees associated with your residential service tariff.
** The Off-peak Rate for Tariff 049 / 808 is calculated as the on-peak rate of 2.63125 ¢/kWh minus the off-peak credit of 1.05250 ¢/kWh
*** The Super Off-peak Rate for Tariff 049 / 808 is calculated as the on-peak rate of 2.63125 ¢/kWh minus the super off-peak credit of 1.84188 ¢/kWh
Note: On and Off-peak Usage Rates in the table apply to the Distribution Service line item on your electric bill. Transmission and Generation (Supply) Service charges still apply.

Yes, you can charge your electric vehicle at any time of the day. You’ll pay more for your usage during On-Peak hours. You can save by charging during Off-Peak times.
Like a primary electric meter, it remains with the house and we maintain ownership of both. Having both meters in place is a great benefit to promote when selling your home.
