UTILITY POLE UPGRADES TO IMPACT MARIETTA FOR SIX WEEKS

GAHANNA, Ohio, Jan. 9, 2020 — As part of continuous improvements to the electrical system, AEP Ohio will replace and add utility poles, intermittently impacting traffic patterns for six weeks on a Marietta road and intersection. Beginning January 13, crews will replace 18 poles and add 5 new poles along Colegate Drive. Lane closures on Colegate Drive will take place as needed, and the work will at times impact the intersection of Colegate Drive and Glendale Road. Message boards will be placed on the roads to alert drivers to the specific times and dates of when the closures will occur.

WHAT: Utility pole replacements & additions

WHEN: Beginning January 13, 2020 for 6 weeks

WHERE:

  • Intermittent lane closures between 401 – 800 Colegate Dr.
  • Intermittent closures at the intersection of Colegate Dr. & Glendale Rd.

WHY: Enhancing the electrical system to provide reliable service to homes and businesses in the area
