Hayden Station Project

As part of our continued work, we're upgrading equipment to support the Dublin area's growing energy needs. Upgrades will include replacing existing poles with poles that are approximately five feet taller, and installing approximately six miles of new overhead electric line on the new poles. The new equipment will help meet existing electric needs and support future growth in your community.

We’re committed to keeping you informed and minimizing the impact to nearby homes, businesses and the environment throughout the duration of this project. Please visit this page periodically for project updates.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work to improve your electric service.

FAQS

As part of our equipment upgrades, construction crews will be replacing existing poles with taller poles (5 feet higher) and adding approximately 6 miles of electric lines to support electrical needs associated with the economic growth in the area.

This work will help meet existing local electric needs and support future growth in your community by providing greater energy capacity.

The work will be divided into three phases.

  • Phase 1: Replace electric poles and install overhead lines from the SE corner of Hayden Run Road and Cosgray Road intersection, continuing south along the east-side of Cosgray Road and ending at Scioto Darby Creek Road.
  • Phase 2: Replace electric poles and install overhead lines from the NW corner of Hayden Run Road and Cosgray Road intersection, continuing north along the west-side of Cosgray Road. Overhead line will cross Cosgray Road at the intersection with Shier Rings Road then head east along the south-side of Shier Rings Road and ending at Eiterman Road.
  • Phase 3: Replaces the overhead line from the NW Corner of Hayden Run Road and Cosgray Road intersection, continuing east along the north-side of Hayden Run Road and ending at Scioto Darby Road.

Phase 1: September 2021 - December 2021
Phase 2: December 2021 - February 2022
Phase 3: February 2022 - April 2022

The project timeline is subject to change pending weather conditions or unforeseen events.

We’ll notify you in advance with details of any work to be performed on your property. Please be sure we have the best phone number and email address to reach you at AEPOhio.com/Account.

We don’t anticipate the need for outages during these upgrades, but there’s always the possibility that crews might need to take an outage to safely complete work. Please be sure we have your best contact information at AEPOhio.com/Account in case we need to get in touch.

Temporary lane closures along Cosgray Road, Shier Rings Road and Hayden Run Road may be needed throughout the construction process. Our construction crews will coordinate with local traffic control to minimize the impact while working to ensure safety for the community and our crews.
