CUSTOMERS HOLD THE POWER WITH NEW AEP OHIO MOBILE APP

GAHANNA, Ohio, December 20, 2017 — Responding to customer requests, AEP Ohio is launching a mobile app, which enables customers to easily access their accounts on the go.                                                 

“Customers made it clear that they wanted an easy way to do business with us,” said Katie Grayem, AEP Ohio director of customer experience and communications. “The AEP Ohio app makes the most popular online functions such as bill pay and outage reports possible with just a few taps on a smart phone.”

Features of the new app include:

Outage Information

  • Report a power outage

  • Check outage status and track restoration progress

Account Management

  • View real-time account balance, payment due date and balance details

  • View and download bill

  • Make a free immediate payment from a bank account

  • Make automatic or scheduled payments

  • Access other ways to pay (credit or debit card, in-person, by phone)

  • Switch between multiple accounts

  • Choose “Remember me” to skip logging in each time the app is used
