Power Brokers are also required to submit the following:

Please print and mail one (1) completed copy of the following agreement, with original signature to Ohio Choice Operations, AEP Ohio, 700 Morrison Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. The executed original agreement will be retained by AEP Ohio. The registration renewal and associated fee are due annually.

Power Brokers are also required to submit the following additional documents for registration:

  • PUCO Certification
  • Dispute Resolution Procedure
  • W-9 Form
  • $100 Registration Fee payable to AEP Ohio
  • Financial and Credit Requirements as stated in Section 5 of the above Application Form

AEP Ohio will assess the financial risks of a Power Broker’s registration with the company to determine the appropriate collateral required, if any. Collateral may be reassessed at any time based on a change in financial risks.

Upon completion of the registration process, the Power Broker will be contacted to establish access to AEP Ohio’s Business Partner Portal (BPP) where Power Brokers can access a pre-enrollment customer list, usage data and meter attributes.

Access will be established for both the External Access Manager (XAM) and the BPP. XAM is the web navigation system to gain access to register and maintain users within the BPP. Each Power Broker will need to select a person to be the XAM Broker, and that person will be able to register and maintain users within the site. The XAM Broker will receive an email with a User ID and log-in instructions for both the XAM and BPP platforms. Some functions within the BPP will not be available to external parties.

The XAM Broker may grant "CRES User" level access to anyone in your organization. The XAM Broker also has the ability to Revoke or Change a user's access. Power Brokers may NOT select AEP BU access.
